Slow Cooker Corn Beef


Small bag of baby carrots
2-3 pound Corn beef brisket with seasoning packet
12oz can of dark beer (Guiness Stout is a good one)
2 Tbsp of yellow mustard
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of water
1 Head of cabbage

Line bottom of crockpot with baby carrots.

Rinse corn beef brisket under cold running water. Pat dry with paper towel. Put in crock pot on top of carrots. Sprinkle seasoning packet on brisket. Pour beer over brisket. Spread mustard on brisket.

In a small bowl mix brown sugar with water. Pour over brisket.

Cover crockpot and cook on low setting for 6 hours.

Cut cabbage head into wedges and place on top of brisket then cover and cook another 2 hours.
